Kognito creates digital experiences that prepare faculty and staff for effective conversations with their students who are struggling with emotional or behavioral issues. An interactive role-play simulation for faculty and staff that builds awareness, knowledge, and skills about mental health and suicide prevention supports improved academic performance, student retention, and campus safety. Through game mechanics, Kognito creates simulated conversations with virtual students where faculty learn, practice and self-assess their ability to manage conversations that can lead to positive changes in social, emotional, and physical health. Kognito is a science-driven and research-proven approach listed in the National Registry of Evidence-Based Programs and Practices (NREPP) and the 45-minute on-line session leads to a certificate in this nationally recognized program.
