Applying COVID-19 Science to Your Workplace & Lifestyle (Virtual)
March 16 @ 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Invest a mere 2 hours to become an informed leader in the community conversation about public health! This course kicks off with a 2-hour virtual learning and discussion session that guides you through the first 50 minutes of a 400-minute course offered by Johns Hopkins University. Topics covered include the most critical knowledge of Covid-19: its origins, clinical signs and symptoms, risk factors, diagnosis, transmission, and the infectious period. The 2-hour FHSU course is led by three local professionals and their combined knowledge on COVID-19 related topics. You will gain insights on COVID-19 best practices and get to participate in a Q & A session to leave informed, confident, and safer.
The FHSU introductory course serves as your primer to the full Johns Hopkins University course, and afterwards you will be able to finish that course on your own time for no additional cost. The comprehensive 400-minute course will teach you about mechanics, logistics, and challenges of contact tracing. Upon completion of the Johns Hopkins course, you will receive a document that you are a certified contact tracer which qualifies you for employment as a contact tracer with an official public health agency. Whether you complete the full Johns Hopkins University course or stop after the FHSU 2-hour course, you will be more equipped to make informed decisions to keep yourself, your coworkers, and your customers safer when doing business!
