Student Success in 2020: How to Engage & Retain Students in a Virtual Environment
June 4, 2020 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm
Due to the sudden and forced closure of campuses, College Presidents and senior leadership view student success and mental health as their biggest challenges for 2020. The goal of student success is to increase student persistence and retention rates at post-secondary institutions. Traditionally, student success has been viewed from an academic or financial perspective. However, today’s students view their experience in a holistic manner that includes experiences both inside and outside the classroom, as well as online and in-person.
Join us for the upcoming webcast on Thursday, June 4th, at 2:00 pm ET, as Eddie Howard, Vice President Student Affairs at Youngstown State University, Julia (Russell) Arreguy, Manager of Software Integrations at Sierra Community College, and Dr. Christine Deacons, PhD, Director of Academic Support Programs at Eastern Michigan University, discuss how Student affairs, Academic affairs, and IT at three different types of colleges use mobile technology to ease challenges and concerns for students and to better connect them with campus life and services while studying remotely.
We hope to see you there!
