CONNECT ASYNCHRONOUSLY BY CREATING A CLASS DISCUSSION WITH YELLOWDIG ENGAGE, BLACKBOARD DISCUSSION BOARDS, VOICETHREAD, OR PACKBACK

Create a virtual classroom discussion by using Yellowdig Engage, Blackboard Discussion Boards, VoiceThread, or Packback, all available on Blackboard. This is one of the best ways for students and instructors to discuss class assignments and content asynchronously. You can also create groups in both Blackboard and Yellowdig for working on group assignments and projects virtually.

Packback Resources

FHSU has partnered with Packback, which is a new platform designed to spark student curiosity and engagement in online courses by bringing artificial intelligence (AI) to bear on class discussion. Instructors at FHSU have support as they prepare for the upcoming term with a discussion platform that engages students’ higher-order learning and is designed to work scalably in both face-to-face and online courses. Students can now access more dynamic, challenging online discussions, powered by a ‘curiosity score’ that helps students formulate high-quality questions and responses to improve their critical thinking skills.
