ilos Video Platform

Video is the new in-demand medium for education. Being able to record course content makes the learning experience better for instructors and students. However, the days of recording an hour long lecture are numbered. Furthermore, only so many cameras and videographers exist here at FHSU, so creating enough video for the demand could prove taxing. To remedy this possible issue, Learning Technologies is proud to introduce ilos video recorder. ilos allows for quick and easy video creation, storage and distribution. With the click of a single button, anyone with an ilos account can create instructional screen-captures, engaging webcasts, and hybrid videos featuring both. From there, videos are uploaded directly to the user’s ilos webpage for organization and easy distribution. If you’re interested in ilos, contact Learning Technologies: http://www.fhsu.edu/learningtechnologies/.

  1. What is the most compelling way to get these videos to my students? Is it best just to email the link or is there a more eye-catching way to send the video?

    • Hi, Matthew,

It really depends on what the video is for. If you are providing it to them for a course through Blackboard, you can use the Mashups feature which will embed the video directly into your course. If you are sending it to one student directly, an emial with a link would be best.
