Inspired by a similar program at UMass-Amherst and based on both persistent concerns about faculty overwhelm and increasing calls for community-building opportunities for faculty, I am proud to announce a NEW professional development opportunity for the spring semester: Gather & Grade.
The grading equivalent of a Writing Accountability Group (WAG), Gather & Grade allows you to set aside dedicated time to grade student work in a supportive environment. Grading with your colleagues can provide accountability and community for what is typically a solitary activity.
