Lunch tickets will be provided for attendees, compliments of Goss Endowed Professor of Writing/Writing Across the Curriculum
.
This event is limited to 20 participants.

What are your writing goals this semester? Whether you hope to revise one manuscript or are juggling multiple projects in various stages, you can be more productive by prioritizing your most promotable work and making a writing plan for the entire semester now!

This workshop will begin with a discussion of obstacles to writing, notably non-promotable tasks, and how overcommitment on such tasks can derail our best efforts in scholarly work. You will assess the work you regularly do in terms of its promotability and estimate how much time you spend on promotable vs non-promotable work. Then, we will shift to making a writing plan for the Spring 2024 semester, so that you can your focus on your promotable scholarly work and have the most productive spring ever!

This will be a true workshop, with less presentation and more time for work. With a bit of focus, you will leave with a strong plan for your semester!

Facilitators:
Christy Craig, Assistant Professor of Sociology
Nicole Frank, Director of Professional Development, TILT
