Writing Accountability Groups

Join us for a writing group this summer! Summer groups will begin January 22nd and will run through May 3rd. We’ll provide the space and you bring everything you need to write without distractions. Please complete this form, so that we may keep writing groups to optimal sizes.
These groups will meet for two hours, spending approximately 10-15 minutes at the start with each member sharing their writing progress over the past week, and their goal for the silent writing time. After a silent writing time of about 90-100 minutes, the group will again spend about 10-15 minutes to share the progress they made, and their writing goals for the next week until the group meets again. (The amount of time necessary for sharing at the beginning and end depend largely on attendance; in the summer of 2022, we found that about 1 minute per writer was plenty of time.)
NOTE: Research shows that writing group participants achieve the best outcomes when they attend at least 70% of group meetings.
