Our Mission
- The TILT Faculty Development team collaborates with units across the University in efforts to plan, design, develop, implement, and evaluate relevant faculty professional development opportunities in four key areas: pedagogy, scholarly research, service, and professional growth. TILT faculty developers also conduct research on Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL), the Scholarship of Educational Development (SoED), and other topics relevant to their work.
Professional Development Opportunities
The TILT Faculty Development team offers numerous opportunities for meaningful professional development each semester. These include New Faculty Orientation, all-campus professional development days, tenure and promotion panels, mini-conferences, book talks, and Faculty Mentoring Faculty programming. Nicole M. Frank
Director of Professional Development
Nicole has worked in college faculty support and development since 2010, and has taught college courses since 2003. She earned her BA in English from FHSU, her MEd in Adult Education and Training from Colorado State University, and is an EdD candidate at Baker University.

Debby Pfeifer
Faculty Development Training Specialist
Debby has 27 years of classroom experience. She joined the TILT team as Faculty Development Training Specialist in 2024. She earned both her BS in Education and her MS in Education with an ESL emphasis from FHSU.
